Admission to Oak Hill

Students applying to Oak Hill must be diagnosed as having a specific learning difference, such as dyslexia and/or attention deficit disorders. This evaluation must be current and completed by a licensed Educational Psychologist, either within the school system or in private practice.

The diagnosis is based on average or above average intelligence with a discrepancy between aptitude and achievement in the classroom, but without primary emotional or behavioural difficulties. Students may demonstrate difficulties in reading, organisation of written language, spelling, mathematics, distractibility, sustained attention, homework completion, or any combination of these issues.
