PATRICIA SPENCER

 Head Teacher, School Liaison & Literacy Teacher

Tricia has been a primary and middle school educator for over 25 years. She has had multiple experiences leading special education/learning support in varying contexts in the UK, the Middle East, Switzerland and Australia. She qualified as a teacher in the UK (Surrey University) with a B.Ed. (Hons) and a Diploma in Specific Learning Difficulties (Dyslexia) with the Hornsby Institute. Since then, she received a Masters in Special Education and a Masters in Autism Studies with Griffith University, Brisbane. She also studied in the U.S., gaining her IMSLEC qualification through the Hill Learning Center, North Carolina and is certified with The Center for Effective Reading Instruction (CERI). More recently, Patricia completed a Masters in Educational Leadership with ACU, Australia. Tricia is a recognised Associate of the The Dyslexia Guild (ADG), a professional association for dyslexia action.

JONATHAN WILMSHURST

B.Sc., M.Sc., P.G.C.E.
 Maths & Literacy Teacher

Jonathan joined the Oak Hill team in 2016 having taught Middle and High School Maths and Science for a number of years in the international (Switzerland) and public systems (UK). He qualified as a teacher in the UK (King’s College, London) and is educated to a PhD level. Jonathan has a broad understanding of learning differences and worked with adults with moderate to severe learning differences in Paris. More recently he studied Dyslexia, Co-occurring Differences and Dyscalculia with the British Dyslexia Association. In addition, he has completed Hill Learning Center methodology training in reading and writing. Jonathan has a particular interest in data analysis and how assessment results can be used to inform and adapt individual teaching programmes. He lives in France with his wife and young family.

GAYLENE POMEROY

HBA, MBA Administrator & Business Officer

Gaylene has over 10 years of senior Marketing, Admissions and Communications experience in the private international education sector around the Geneva-Lausanne region of Switzerland. She has an Honours B.A. in Business Administration and an MBA in International Marketing. She is mother-tongue English and fluent in French.

Having personal experience in the international school market with her own two children, she is knowledgeable of the educational options available in the region and keen to help parents make the right choice for their child.
